Many definition are associated with the Yin and Yang. Others said they are the bad and the good. The negative and the positive. The earth and the heaven. All of those are right, but with certain exceptions and additions. In Chinese, the term means dark and light respectively. In truth, light and dark are relative to each other. The one cannot be what it is without the other. If there is good, there is certainly a bad one.
The yin and yang is the basic principle and philosophy used in the Traditional Chinese Medicine. Its use dates back millions of years ago. According to the ancient scriptures, the yin and yang governs our daily life, it also governs our health. But its principle states that Yin and Yang opposing features but they are also mutually rooted and transformed. The other half is always the reversed form of the other. When the other increases, the other part decreases. And when the other one changed, the other half will fill the spot that was changed. The other cannot live without the other.
So if there is a disease, there is always a cure. Basically, the Chinese wanted to impart hope to everyone. They wanted to keep in the minds of people that when there is life, there is hope. Every problem always have a solution.
The Traditional Chinese Medicine made used of the Yin Yang philosophy because they believe, you control the Yin Yang of yourself. You control the bad and good sides of you. And all your health problems depends on how you manage these two. On how you control the Yin and Yang of your health.
