phobia clinic | online Interview

By Interviewer at 05/21/07 08:13
Name of your website?

phobia clinic | online

Your name?

Guy Baglow, Clinic Director

Your Location (city, etc)

London, United Kingdom

When did you start your website and why?

We are passionate about curing phobias. We have a very successful private phobia clinic in London where we use an amazing therapy tool called The Fast Phobia Cure. It does exactly what it says - it cures phobias fast. Even long-standing and extreme phobias can be cured in a single pleasant therapy session. It can sometimes take just ten minutes.

The Fast Phobia Cure is so far from the tradition, long-term, painful, scary phobia treaments and so effective that it should be more widely available. It seems that it is not used by many therapists because it is too quick: they may only need to see their patient once so they don't make much money.

So we created a phobia treatment program containing The Fast Phobia Cure which can be downloaded and used by anyone, anywhere.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

Our website is designed to introduce and deliver the Fast Phobia Cure Program. It alse gives detailed information on phobias: the different types, fears versus phobias, and the science of phobias and how they are cured. The business model is simply to reach and help as many people as possible.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

Getting people to the website is challenging. Then there the challenge of persuading them that their phobia can be cured very quickly and it doesn't need long, drawn-out, painful therapy.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

The e-commerce technology was surprisingly easy - we use PayPal as the payment processor and PayLoadz to deliver the digital downloads.

What was your biggest mistake?

Not getting it up sooner.

Who maintains your website and why?

We maintain it ourselves because its a simple, low-maintenance site.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

It has increased our reach. We can now deliver our core phobia treatments worldwide.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

Ecommerce can create and reach massive markets. It can also create near-perfect business models for digital products. The interner will continue to grow and grow until sometime, somehow it will be superseded by some as yet undreamt of system that will make what we have today look like painting on cave walls.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

SEO takes hardwork to be done properly. Too many have been misled and stung by SEO companies offering silly guarantees of top 10 positions. A quality site with good depth and content will always rise to the top. There are no substitutes for that.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

They have helped enourmously.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Link building.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

Pay per click.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

Nothing, although government interference and cencorship will kill it.

Do you think your website is sexy?

Oooh yes.

Midlife Bachelor Interview

By Interviewer at 05/19/07 19:56
Name of your website?

Midlife Bachelor

Your name?

Gregory

Your Location (city, etc)

Riverside

When did you start your website and why?

Midlifebachelor.com was created to help midlife bachelors with many uncomfortable issues that often appear in our late 30s, our 40s, and early 50s.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

Midlifebachelor.com is dedicated to the modern midlife bachelor experience. We cover critical topics such as how to successfully re-enter the dating world, how to deal with midlife health-related issues such as prostate problems. Plus we also address and advocate the embrace of the legendary midlife crisis as an agent of change.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

Creating the content took just over one year - and represents the sum of experiences of three midlife bachelors. The core content of the site was completed in January - and the site went live in late April 2007. Now we are focused on getting the word out - so that as many of our midlife bachelor brothers can leverage (and hopefully add to) this core knowledge base.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

I don't think that any particular part of this effort was easy. It took me less time to debug the site for various target browsers than I originally anticipated - but that is probably due to the nature of the software environment I used to create the site (DreamWeaver).

What was your biggest mistake?

I do not believe we have made any mistakes thus far. If we have, I am not aware of them.

Who maintains your website and why?

I (Gregory) maintain the site because I am the one with all of the programming experience and technical knowledge. I have a BSCS, and have worked in the technology industry for twenty years.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

The business is the website - and although I've recently just started adding different types of ads, the site is more of a public service content-only site. The goal of the site is to help our midlife bachelor brothers, first and foremost.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

ecommerce is the future. The internet is the most important enabling technology of this generation. The most difficult part is getting the most relevant content to the most users in the most efficient amount of time.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

I wish I knew more about SEO - that is my greatest challenge at this moment (barely one month after the launch of the website).

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

As of today, the Yahoo Directory has provided the most amount of traffic to my site. A distant second is google. I would have guessed that the opposite would have been true, but live and learn, I suppose. Maybe once I understand SEO better then google can help me more.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Getting the site listed in Yahoo Directory seems to have generated the most referrals, according to my site statistics software.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

Submitting the site to MSN Search. Nothing has been generated over there - and even though their bot has hit my site, I still cannot get my site to appear in their search.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

I would like to see viruses and SPAM eliminated by the infrastructure of the internet (and not rely on either the ISPs or the individual users to control them).

What do you think is the single most important issue for midlife bachelor's today?

The single most important issue for today's modern midlife bachelor is LEARNING to cope with all of the various issues that arise between the ages of 35 and 50. Divorce breeds bachelorhood. Middle age brings health-related issues. Boredom invites the midlife crisis. Visit www.midlifebachelor.com to leverage the knowledge of others who have been through it before. You are not alone!

Name of your website?

Select Vitamins

Your name?

Doug Kilgore

Your Location (city, etc)

Altamonte Springs

When did you start your website and why?

I have been working on this site for several months now and went live with it a couple months ago. I started this site because I wanted to offer vitamins, supplements and other related health products at a discount as well as provide lots of information about nutrition and healing.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

My website sells name brand nutritional products at low prices. The site has nearly 5000 products available to choose from and is growing every day. My goal is to add as many health supporting products as possible while educating the public on how to improve their health.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

The most difficult part has been the marketing aspect. I have been learning a lot about how to market a web site and online store, so that part is getting easier.

What has been the easist past of operating your website?

I have 12+ years experience in the computer field, so the technical aspect came naturally to me. I also have about 5 years experience in the healing and nutritional field, suggesting which nutritional products, vitamins and herbs are the best to support and improve different health concerns.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Using wordtracker to get keywords with the best KEI and using them in the appropriate places on my site.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

Pay per click. Too costly for what you get in return.

What is your website address?
