One of the known ways to treat hypothyoidism patients is to treat them with a does of radioiodine. It may be effective, but something tells me it is not a best cure out there.

For example, some of those who were treated with radioiodine set flame sensors (which are sensitive to radioactivity) the next day after urinating. That may mean that the radioactivity in their urines are more than what is acceptable.
