The Institute of Occupational Health (IOH), the first institute of occupational health in Nepal is a non profit research and advisory institute whose main tasks are promotion of occupational health and hygiene, research in the field of occupational health and hygiene, training of employees, provision of advisory services and dissemination of information.

The Institutes professional staff includes scientists with experience in occupational medicine, industrial hygiene, chemistry, toxicology, physiology, psychology, sociology etc.

The Institute collaborates with government and private agencies, workers and employers organizations and general population.

Through cooperation in research and service at national and international levels the Institute contributes to the advancement of knowledge of health risks in working life.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Occupational Health is a lagged behind field of health and there are very few scientists working in that field in Nepal. As I am the first Occupational Health Physician in Nepal, it inspired me to start a new project and contribute to the development of the new area in the country.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first website was my own HOMEPAGE and it was 12 years back.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To develop a healthy and safe work culture in Nepal
