Name of your website?Integrated Nutrition, LLC
Your name?
Barbara Beznos
Your Location (city, etc)
Farmington Hills
Please give us a short summary of your website?
It describes and promotes my nutrition counseling business, Integrated Nutrition, LLC.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
My passion for nutrition, healthy living and my strong desire to help others live longer, healthier lives.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In 2000; it was an older version of my current Integrated Nutrition, LLC, web site.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It is my company's name and it describes my integrated (comprehensive) approach to nutrition and wellness.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
There are very few small, private practice, nutrition counseling businesses like mine.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To promote my nutrition counseling business to the widest possible audience.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
From my personal goals standpoint, I have had very solid success with my business and web site, but I am always looking at ways to innovate and expand.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would make it more interactive.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Honestly, it all depends on how big and how quickly it grew. I am able, however, to sustain any reasonably anticipated growth.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The biggest cost is marketing/advertising and lost time. The biggest headache is people making appointments and not showing up.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Changing people's lives for the better, keeping up with my professional development and the varied demands of running a small business.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
My weekly ad/column in the Detroit Jewish News called, Nutritionally Speaking, and my web site.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
At first I thought I could just put up a web site and people would come. I've learned that you have to take a consistent, comprehensive, cross-media approach to advertising/marketing that communicates professionalism and value. Then, of course, you have to deliver on that promise.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Since 2000. I plan to continue to run it as long as I'm in business (basically, until I can't do it any more)
