Please give us a short summary of your website?
We offer pre-selected products designed to help women and men look, feel, and simply be their very best!
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I've always been concerned about health topics and the fact that the public needs to be offered choices. The Internet offers information and choices and we are pleased to be a part of it.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
We originally launched our site as www.intomySELF.com. The idea was that when you put your "self" first, the rest of your life fell neatly into place. Soon after we realized that this came across as a bit self-absorbed. Also we were mostly a health related site so we changed it to the current www.IntoMyHealth.com. The product model remains the same.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Other websites offer products. We offer products, advice, and information. We feel our customers deserve to make informed decisions and are entitled to great prices on the products they ultimately choose.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
We currently offer a lineup of our own products including CortiVarin, EstriLife, Cellulite Rx3, and a Coral Calcium 1500 capsule. Eventually, we will be releasing a major product that will be nationally advertised.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
We have times now when our demand required us to outsource our order fulfillment or hire additional in-house order fulfillment and customer service. This is the nature of the business.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Always choosing the right product for the natural health market is a challenge.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
We've been at it for quite some time now. However, we are often asked how to get started in the online retail business. I think people think it's an easy way to make money. It's not. It required a lot of focus and time and it's very easy to lose money... just like any business.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We opened in May of 2000 and will continue to operate as long as our customers keep coming back.
