This is an indepth research article about iodine deficiency and also encourages physicans to perform routine iodine level tests!

These are a few issues that can result from an iodine deficiency:

  • Iodine deficiency predisposed to fibrocystic disease of the breast (FDB) and breast cancer
  • Administration of thyroid hormones to iodine deficient women increased further their risk of breast cancer

The report indicates that 1 out of 7 female patents that visit a doctor are iodine deficient!
