By Interviewer at 08/25/07 01:45
Name of your website?

Gluta-C ~ For glowing, whiter and younger looking skin!

Your name?

Mags Baylan

Your Location (city, etc)

Long Island

Please give us a short summary of your website?

we sell the most sought out for it's efficacy and affordability GLUTA-C, it's the Ultimate detoxifier, anti-aging and anti-oxidant who's side effect is lightening of the skin.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

My own experience in skin whitening..

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

last month, when i first launch it's own website www.glutac.com but I have been selling it under www.funkymommy.net since 2005.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

the product itself, Gluta-C

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Because I only use the highest grade of Glutathione, no short cut, only pure and reduced double strenght Glutathione 500mg, with Vit C and ALA.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

to sell it and be the #1

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

its equally balance i should say

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

of course i will hire a professional web designer and photographer

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

absolutely!

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

i used to sell imported Glutathione product and importing it was a pain the b***

What has been your biggest challenge?

there's no such thing as biggest challenge, i can take on anything.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

excellent service and word of mouth,

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

no comment

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

no comment

Replace this with a question of your own

NA

What is your website address?

Gluta-C ~ For glowing, whiter and younger looking skin!

[Ed note: I'm all for healthy skin.. but what's wrong with the skin color we were all born with? The darker skinned people seem obsessed with lightening it... the lighter skinned people seem obsessed with darkening it! -Wilbur]

Glutathione just so happen to have a side effect of lightening the skin, it is however dubbed as the Ultimate anti-oxidant, detoxifier, and anti-aging. So i dont' see anything wrong on taking GLutathione, the only thing is if your dark skin then you will have lighter skin, but if you're already white then you will have a healthy glowing white skin and of course a healthy lifestyle, it's a win-win situation here, no losers!
I think that this Gluta-C is a scam. They are claiming that it is an FDA approve product. They even include an FDA registration number. I check FDA website and that number 18508483950 doesn't even exist nor the Gluta-C brand. You should do more research before taking glutathione supplement. It's not going to work.
First of all Freesia, before you make such nasty comment that Glutac is a scam, i suggest that you better yet read the content on glutac com again, because nowhere that it says that Glutac is FDA approved, THE FACILITY is FDA Registered YES, and that has two different meaning. and for your further knowledge Dietary supplement like Glutathione is not regulated by the FDA because Glutathione is not considered drugs not herbal.

So I suggest you should do more research and reading, and learn how to understand the meaning of what you have been reading.

Gluta-C is being marketed as an anti-oxidant, anti-aging and its ability to detox, side effect is just a bonus.

We are not here to fool anyone nor force them to purchase, if you don't like it, don't buy it, as simple as that.

People are so quick to judge (Freesia), life is too short to be going around and bashing other people or Company or product. Regardless, Glutathione, Gluta-C or different brand, gives positive results ie, it is well known to be the master of all anti-oxidant, it is anti-aging (my favorite) and detoxifier the skin lightening, well im already white, but I noticed that my skin becomes even, and glowing at all times.

For people like Freesia, keep your negative comments to yourself, you are not helping anyone, better yet..help yourself to be a better person. Goodluck to the owner of Gluta C and more power to you and to your product.

Next time, don't pay attention to any negative attentions that comes your way...just a heads up, there will be more like Freesia. For all we know, this Freesia is a competitor or may be working for a competitor. Keep your head up and pursue your dream and continue helping us with this wonderful product like Gluta C.

Maybe if you offer a link to where on the FDA it shows the facility registration people would understand better and not feel it is a scam because they can't find anything on the FDA website.

In my research on Glutathione for mercury detox, I learned that N-Acetyl Cysteine is better. Apparently the N-Acetyl Cysteine converts to Glutathione in body and is more effective because Glutathione isn't well absorbed directly.

Any comments on that, especially some links? Maybe I can dig out the links to where I was reading about N-Acetyl Cysteine vs Glutathione.

I still don't get the point of trying to whiten your skin since everyone with white skin goes around trying to darken it! Be happy with what you got!

Thanks Wilbur, but there's no such thing as link from FDA website about checking the Facility registration#, you will have to personally email them to inquire about a Facility. But here's the website where you can register; http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~furls/ovffreg.html

Registering a Facility is not like registering a drug, they have to let the public aware that a certain drug(s) on the market is registered under FDA, it doesn't work that way on Registering a Facility, FDA is not obliged in any way to let the public know that a certain Facility in a certain State is registered, this is for their safe keeping only so they can monitor Facilities that Distribute Dietary Supplements.

About NAC versus Glutathione, to each its own. if Glutahione works for you so be it, if NAC works for you then I say more power to you.

We are not here to downplay any product(s). Thanks!

Comment #7 By Wilbur Corncob at 09/25/07 08:21
What idiots (the FDA) for not making that kind of information directly available. Why should us taxpayers fund someone answering emails for information that should just be there for the public!

Pop Glutathione in the FDA's search box and you get 1400 or results.

The National Insistutes of Health probably has more interesting Search Results for Glutathione

Beats the hell out me too...I tried searching for that link at FDA's website and I couldn't find anything..

Glutathione is a common ingredient for Drugs that used for Detoxifiction in rehabs.,as well as foods abundant with glutathione, abolutely you will find thousands of results in FDA's search box.

Thanks for the info Wilbur.

I guess they won't tell you anything by email or not...

Very informative and straight to the point. I wish I could register Gluta-C as a skin whitening product, but then again it will have to be under Drug category, and Glutathione is considered food supplement. What do you think, should we go for a New Drug application so it will be registered under FDA?I know it's a gruelling and expensive process.
Comment #11 By Wilbur Corncob at 09/25/07 13:18
Not for me... I'm much more interested in the health benefits... here are some things to look at:

Comment #12 MAGS BAYLAN at 09/25/07 19:22
I have been intrigue with NAC, i have been researching its benefit of increasing the glutathioen level better than Vitamin C, ALA and Grapeseed extract and was talking to our Chemist of adding NAC in Gluta-C's formulation or probably taking out Vitamin C and replacing it with NAC.

Once the Lot is finished, we are contemplating of adding NAC to the formulation. I believe this is going to be a better product as far as health benefits are concerned than what it is right now. Thanks Wilbur!

im shopping for a real good skin whitening pill and have come across a number of competing brands heralding their superiority. i've also found that beauoxi white is the popular brand in the philippines over activa, ishakaga, dr. james and the others. just wanna know how your product is different from beauoxi white?

We don't compare as it will just start the ugly "he says she says controversy", and we don't want to be part of that. All we know is that Gluta-C contains the Superior quality Reduced Glutathione, we stand by it and thousands of our customers around the World, including Philippines stands by it.

It's a matter of territory, they are popular in the Philipines..not here in the US though, and I know why, because here in the US, unless it's a Drug, you can not make any claims on the label which they did (Philippines), they are marketing it as a Skin Whitening agent not Dietary supplement. It's not going to fly with the FDA here, compare to the Food and Drugs in the Philippines, I was told that anyone with money ($5000 to be exact), can register a drug without going through the gruelling process of being tested, talking about red tape.

if this is true, then it's a shame, obviously they (BFAD) don't care about the Cosumers, all they care about is the money in their pocket.

Why do you think Consumers from all over the World do not trust buying Drugs and even dietary supplements in Asia? Statistics shows that Asia (Philippines is just second to China) has the #1 Rank for the most Adulterated, tampered and fake Drugs in the World.

but then again, it's your money.

I have been using GLuta C for 4 months, at first I was sketical because it was taking a long time to see the results (Skin whitening) I actually noticed the difference, actually my co-workers noticed that my skin was getting clearer but this was unto my 2nd month of usage. I couldn't believe it! I was about to stop using it until almost everybody, my mom, my sis, my boyfriend are also noticing that my skin is getting lighter. I used to have sniffles here and there, im always sick, but eversince i started taking Gluta C glutathione, i felt younger, i look lighter and younger and im always energized that I still have energy to go to hte gym after work. I don't get sick anymore, this is amazing and I do believe that Glutathione really works wonders inside and out.!

Hi, i just started using the gluta C a month ago and i know the results take a while. I have a milk chocolate complextion in some parts of my body and a cinimon in others. I just want my complexion to be even. How many shades lighter can someone of my complexion become and how long does it take?
Comment #18 Sogbe Maramuna at 04/18/08 16:24
I have been using Gluta-C for 4 1/2 months, im African-American by the way, my skin tone when i first started was like that of Viola Davis, now i can tell the difference just by looking at my old photos and how nice my skin looked on colored clothes that are primarily marketed for lighter skin.

Now my skintone matches closely as with Kerry Washington, what i love about Gluta-C is that I just have to take it 2-3 capsule a day and i can go about my whole day. My skin is very much even all over, even my underarms knees, elbows, which as you may not know, these parts are our main problem, us Black women. It became so smooth and not dry. My mom and my sister is also using Gluta-C, they just started about a coupple of weeks ago upon seeing me for the 1st time in 4 months. They were so shocked, they couldn't believe it was me.

Im planning to stay with this skin tone and probably down my dosage to 1 capsule a day.

So for SassyT, obviously im way darker than you, if i see results in 4 months, probably you will see it way earlier than I did. But then again it all depends on how your body metabolize Glutathione, but goodluck to you, hope you get the results that you are aiming for.

hello...oh man guys...i was one of those few who got fooled into using those soaps/creams/lotions to make yourself lighter..and all it did for me was give me rashes which are now blotches of scars/spots around my body..not good =(..so just be careful and make sure you do your research properly..trust me, it's summer here and i can't even wear a t-shirt like i use to because I have huge scars around my hands...i've been using bio-oil to lighten them up but it will take probably months and even years..anyways,i'm looking for a product to help speed that up a bit...u think i'd learn my lesson not to buy any more lightening products but it looks like there are many good reviews for GLuta-C so i want to try it out so that I am able to improve my body/skin because I don't want to be unconcious of my body for the rest of my life..I would like to wear a t-shirt when it's hot and not have people stare at my scars...that reminds me of how stupid i was buying those pointless products everytime and now i would like to move on...so i hope this gluta-c is worth my money and doesn't turn out to be dissapointing like the rest....thanks for all the feedback!
