Stella's Touch is dedicated to provide the best services and products available. With its 12 years experience in the Beauty Industry and a new location, Stella and her motivated and highly trained professional staff will cater to your every needs and satisfaction. With its wide array of services including, Facials, Manicures, Pedicures, waxing, Relaxation and Therapeutic massages, hair salon, tanning, and much more, Stella's Touch has something for everyone.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
With the pace of our daily lives, taking care of your inner and outer self is a necessity with treatments that soothe the soul, relax the mind and rejuvenate the body. No matter how busy you are and how little time you may have, taking the time to be pampered to a new self will make you feel like a new person, and will be a new beginning to your day.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My fist website was launched is 1995 and was pretty basic. It has now been updated and to today's standard, is still pretty basic. Don't tell my husband as he is the one building it by writing most of the code himself :>).
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It use to be "A Touch of Beauty" but as since change to "Stella's Touch" as I really believe my name should have been included in it. As we live in a growing but small community (Russell Ontario), people tend to refer to the businesses around by their owner's name.
What makes it different from other, similar day spas?
The services speaks for themselves. Customers feel at home and are threated like family. An hour facial, massage, or pedicure never end up 60 being minutes. We are there to take care of customers and make them feel rejuvenated. Just see what our customers are saying:

What is your eventual goal?
Our goal has been reached as our customers are taking on a healthy, refreshed glow as their entire body approaches new horizons in health and beauty. To experience is to adopt, visit our site, or stop by and see what we have to offer in order to help improve your quality of life.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
When you own a business, time is not a factor. From the start you recognize the need to put as much effort into your services in order to satisfy everyone. Again, as we are in a small community, word of mouth is our best way to advertise.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Probably have it done by a professional (please.. don't let my husband know :>) ). I like the website as it is now, with basic but accurate information, easily accessed by viewers.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
The business started in 1995 but our new location opened in April 2007. The day spa is 2500 square feet and we are rapidly running short on space. An addition on the second floor is an option we are looking at seriously for the new year.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
I think the fact the renovations costs ended up three times the planned budget was enough of a headache but it was all worth it.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Our biggest challenge was and is still getting the hairstyling portion of the day spa to be recognized. As it was not part of the business in the last 12 to 13 years, it is taking a bit of time to get a good kick start.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
At the present time, self promotion is the was to go. Budget being what it is after this big expansion of the spa, advertising money is at a premium. We also have to keep in mind that our clientele is centralized in the Ottawa south, Russell, Metcalfe, Embrun, Winchester, and Chesterville area, therefore, we do not expect huge traffic volume. At this point, an average of 10 visitors a day with a 30% average of return visits is very satisfying to us.
