My Blog is about alternative health care. I am educating people about the conditions in which they can safely take alternative health care and I am also offering paid consultations to them if they so desire. I also talk about other alternative treatments like Electronic Gem therapy, in my Blog.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I am building up my Online Consulting Practice and simultaneously introducing people to a professional version of alternative health care.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I use Blogger because of the ease with which one can use it in India, which is where I live and work from.
What do you blog the most about?
Health, herbs, alternative treatments.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Those that promote hatred among people ( some political ones that come out of West Asian countries ).
Give five of your best blogging tips.
Be to the point, not long-winded. Use colours that are easy on the eyes. Be accurate. Be as informative as possible. Use font sizes easy to read.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
Hate topics Personal topics ( maybe that's cultural for me )
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
I started out with the intention of promoting herbal treatments, which are my passion (and mission) in life. I then thought, well, why not make some money out of it too?! Yes, I Do make some money from online consultations which I get from people reading my Blogs ( I have more than one, ofcourse ).
How long have you been blogging?
About a year or a little longer.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
I update my Blog every week ( in the same post ) by removing some matter and adding something else. But I spend a really LONG time PROMOTING it! ( Maybe a couple of hours every day. That's hard work! ).
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
No, I decided I wouldn't.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
Not really. I don't want comments, I want people to consult me.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
No. Same reason
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I post on Forums, esp Orkut. That works in India. I also submit to Search Engines and Directories.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
I really can't answer this one.... can't say, I guess.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Please don't write very LONG Blogs. People don't have that much time. Don't advertise ( Adsense or any other ) over-much. No pop-ups.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
I'm afraid I live in a power-deficit country. I have no internet time left after I finish with my own blog and reading some news online!
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
Come to think of it... yes. Over the telephone, that is. I spoke to a couple from India that's in New Zealand, and things like that!
